SUMMER BEER FESTIVAL

JULY 17th - 19th 2009

Preparations are underway for this years Beer Festival. Beers have been carefully chosen by our dedicated Beer Festival Committee and are now being sourced by our Brewery. We hope to see 24 different beers this year, many more than last year, as well as a token selection of ciders.

EASTER ALE EXTRAVAGANZA

Mini Beer Festival
MIGHTY OAK'S
Oscar Wilde Mild 3.7%
A wonderfully mellow, nutty, morish dark mild. Brewed using Maris Otter Pale, Crystal and Black malts and gently hopped with Challenger.
Dragon's Den 4%
Traditional copper coloured best bitter with a full-bodied nutty malt flavour and a good fruity grassy hop flavour and a long finish.
BRENTWOOD BREWERY'S
Hot XXX Buns 3.8%
Dark amber, hoppy session style bitter. Brewed with chololate malts and heavily hopped giving a sweet fruity aftertaste.
CROUCH VALE'S
Quench 3.9%
Quench is a relatively new barley variety and this is brewed using the finest floor-malted version we could find! Goldings hops round off a fragrant, pale thirst-stopper.
FARMERS ALES'
Pucks Folly 4.2%
A light golden beer brewed originally for Maldon's Shakespeare Festival in Summer 2003. It was voted 'beer of the festival' at the 2nd CAMRA Maldon Beer Festival in 2004. The East Kent Goldings hops give a hint of grapefruit.
Golden Boar 5%
Brewed to satisfy the demand for another full flavoured hoppy beer to compliment the ever popular Puck's Folly. Farmers Golden Boar is an amber beer, refreshing and crisp with a little sweetness to balance the lashings of Cascade hops.
WYCHWOOD BREWERY'S
Dragon's Bite 4%
A warm firey ale which delivers a crisp bite for those chilly April knights.
BUTCOMBE BREWERY'S
Butcombe Gold 4.4%
Yellow gold in colour…hence the name! Made with 100% English malt and only English Fuggles hops. Rounded malt in the mouth, with a fresh vitality, balanced by the full bittersweet finish of English Fuggle hops.
